So your mom constantly hounds you about your grades...
Yeah, yeah. School’s a grind. And you know you’ll never need Algebra when you get out into the real world, so why is your mom so obsessed over your “C” in math? It’s all about options – your mom wants to make sure you have plenty of them. And good grades? They give you options. Now I know that your plans to be a rock star when you grow up are solid, but what if you go deaf at a Taylor Swift concert because you stood too close to the speakers (moms are constantly worried about stuff like that) and can no longer carry a tune? What then, my dear?
I know you hear the phrase ‘stay in school’ all too often. But the reason is because some of the best advice out there. And the better you do in school, the better you’ll do in real life. And let’s face it, you can’t have that big fancy house and smokin’ car if your career involves telling people what aisle the shampoo is in. Work hard, get rewarded. Them’s the facts.
So get cracking! What are you doing at MY website anyway? Shouldn’t you be on Wikipedia or something learning about the Dred Scott Decision? It may come up in an interview one day. I mean it!
