I feel bad. I meant to create some cute Easter keyboard animals for you, but I simply ran out of time. You see my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and their kids came in this weekend to celebrate the holiday with us. Huzzah! Though it was fun, it was also very busy -- and not just while they were here, either. I had to prepare for their arrival. You know, cook, clean, as well as put out my special hand soap, shown below. It seemed appropriate given the Easter holiday, don't you think?

But, like I said, there was also fun. Yesterday we decided to take the crew few miles down the road to Le Claire, Iowa. Of course, that meant we had to stop at the American Pickers store. Mike and Frank weren't there, but we did see a big head that was just screaming for me to take it home:

Rick said no.

Oh, did I mention we also celebrated Rick's birthday? The baker asked me what I wanted on the cake and I said, "Just put 'Happy Birthday, Rick!' Nothing fancy. Maybe some green and yellow balloons because he likes the Green Bay Packers." Here's what I got:

Anyway, now that our company's gone, it's time for me to collapse. I promise to make some Easter keyboard characters soon. In the meantime, here's the cutest photo of a bunny I've ever taken. Ain't he cute?

Holiday break is here and I still have a TON to do before festivities begin. There are presents that still must be purchased, even more that must be wrapped, plus a Christmas card letter that refuses to write itself.

So, given all this, what have I been doing as the clock ticked loudly in my ear? Making winter holiday keyboard characters, of course. I feel like the poster child for dilly dally dingbats.

Anyway, I couldn't make a lot because I really do have so much on my Christmas cookie plate right now. Still, I managed to create a snowman, Christmas tree, singing angel, snowflake, Santa and an elf, a turtle dove, as well as the saddest dreidel you'll ever see. All of them have been added to my keyboard characters page. It's turning into quite a collection!

So take a look below. I do hope you enjoy them. I also wish you the happiest of holidays. May your season be filled with love, hope and joy. Have a wonderful break.

Hugs,

Mom

Many of you know I love keyboard characters. If you don't, what's wrong with you? To get up to speed, check out my post on keyboard animals as well as my page with lots of cute keyboard characters.

Anway, since it's Halloween season I decided to create some spooky keyboard characters for you. Not all are winners, but I don't care because I had a lot of fun making them. Here they are: (Side note, if you want to recreate them, I used the Verdana font.)

The first group: a keyboard bat, pumpkin, a kinda sorta werewolf, and a couple of witches, too.

Now for the darker side of Halloween. ;) Here's a keyboard ghost, zombie, and mummy!
I decided to try a couple of keyboard faces, too. Here's a Young Frankenstien and a vampire.
I hope you enjoyed them. And remember, if you have any of your own that you'd like shared on this website, just submit them on my contact page.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I dedicated this week exclusively to book writing, so I have no words for you this week. Instead, I created some cute keyboard animals exclusively for your amusement: a bunny, cat, bird and pig. The bunny has been blatantly pilfered from my brother, who I know found it elseewhere on the web. The rest are my own creations -- at least I think they are. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has wasted their time this way.

Hope they make you smile. :)

(UPDATE 7/1/12: I just made some more keyboard animals. If you want to see them, click here!)
And, BTW, if you haven't seen this video, take a gander. It's hilarious!
